A Divine Celebration of Janmashtami at Sanskaar Bharti Public School
“Where Learning Meets Values and Culture”
Janmashtami, the sacred festival celebrating the birth of Lord Shri Krishna, was observed with immense devotion, enthusiasm, and cultural spirit at Sanskaar Bharti Public School, Alwar. The celebration aimed to introduce students to India’s rich spiritual heritage while inspiring them to embrace the timeless values of truth, kindness, love, courage, and righteousness as taught by Lord Krishna.
The school campus was beautifully decorated with colorful flowers, vibrant rangolis, traditional earthen pots, peacock feathers, and festive decorations that reflected the joyful spirit of Vrindavan. The melodious chants of “Hare Krishna” and devotional bhajans created a serene and spiritual atmosphere throughout the campus.
The celebration commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and prayers seeking the blessings of Lord Krishna. The Principal and teachers addressed the students, explaining the significance of Janmashtami and encouraging them to follow the ideals of honesty, compassion, discipline, and selfless service.
The highlight of the celebration was the delightful Radha-Krishna Fancy Dress Competition, where students from Play Group to UKG dressed beautifully as Lord Krishna, Radha, Balram, Gopis, and other characters from Krishna’s divine childhood. Their innocent smiles, graceful performances, and vibrant costumes transformed the school into a miniature Vrindavan.

Students presented captivating cultural performances, including devotional dances, Krishna bhajans, patriotic songs, and short skits depicting memorable episodes from Shri Krishna’s life such as Makhan Chori, Kaliya Mardan, and the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita. These performances beautifully conveyed the message that righteousness always triumphs over evil.

One of the most exciting moments of the day was the Matki Phod (Dahi Handi) celebration. Students enthusiastically participated in this traditional activity under the careful supervision of teachers. The event filled the campus with excitement, laughter, and cheerful applause while promoting teamwork, confidence, and unity among the children.
Special storytelling sessions introduced students to the inspiring life of Lord Krishna, helping them understand the importance of respecting parents, protecting nature, helping others, and maintaining harmony in society. Teachers emphasized that Krishna’s teachings remain relevant in today’s world and inspire everyone to lead a meaningful and ethical life.
The celebration also included engaging activities such as Krishna Crown Making, Flute Decoration, Drawing and Colouring Competitions, and Bhajan Singing, allowing students to express their creativity while deepening their understanding of Indian culture and traditions.

Parents appreciated the school’s efforts in blending education with cultural values, making the event both enjoyable and educational. The enthusiastic participation of students, teachers, and staff made the celebration truly memorable.
As the programme concluded, every student carried home not only beautiful memories but also valuable life lessons inspired by Lord Krishna’s divine teachings. The smiles on the children’s faces reflected the success of the celebration and the school’s commitment to holistic education.
At Sanskaar Bharti Public School, festivals are celebrated not merely as events but as opportunities to nurture character, preserve Indian traditions, and strengthen moral values among young learners. The Janmashtami celebration served as a beautiful reminder that education becomes truly meaningful when it is rooted in culture, spirituality, and humanity.
Happy Janmashtami!
May Lord Shri Krishna bless every child with wisdom, happiness, courage, good health, and a bright future.
