A Joyous Celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi at Sanskaar Bharti Public School

“Seeking the Blessings of Lord Ganesha – The Remover of Obstacles and the God of Wisdom”

Ganesh Chaturthi, one of India’s most auspicious and widely celebrated festivals, was observed with great devotion, enthusiasm, and cultural fervour at Sanskaar Bharti Public School, Alwar. The celebration was organized to help students understand the spiritual significance of Lord Ganesha while encouraging them to embrace values such as wisdom, humility, discipline, and respect for Indian traditions.

The school campus came alive with vibrant decorations, colourful rangoli designs, eco-friendly floral arrangements, traditional motifs, and beautifully crafted artwork depicting Lord Ganesha. The festive atmosphere filled the hearts of students, teachers, and parents with joy and devotion, creating a memorable learning experience beyond the classroom.

The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and a heartfelt prayer seeking the divine blessings of Lord Ganesha, the symbol of knowledge, prosperity, and new beginnings. Devotional bhajans and Ganesh Vandana echoed throughout the campus, creating a peaceful and spiritually uplifting environment.

The Principal addressed the students and explained the importance of Ganesh Chaturthi. Students learned why Lord Ganesha is worshipped before the beginning of every auspicious task and how his teachings inspire us to cultivate patience, intelligence, kindness, and determination in our daily lives.

The highlight of the celebration was the Ganesh Idol Decoration Activity, where students from different classes decorated eco-friendly Ganesh idols using flowers, leaves, colours, and recyclable materials. The activity encouraged creativity while spreading awareness about environmental conservation and responsible celebration of festivals.

Students enthusiastically participated in a variety of engaging activities, including Drawing and Colouring Competitions, Ganesh Mask Making, Paper Craft, Clay Modelling, Greeting Card Making, and Shloka Recitation. These creative sessions not only enhanced artistic skills but also deepened students’ understanding of India’s rich cultural heritage.

The cultural programme featured graceful dances dedicated to Lord Ganesha, devotional songs, speeches, and short skits highlighting stories from the life of Lord Ganesha, including his wisdom, obedience, and love for his parents. Through these performances, students learned valuable lessons about respecting elders, working hard, and always choosing the path of truth and righteousness.

Teachers organized interactive storytelling sessions where young learners discovered the significance of Lord Ganesha’s symbolic form—his large ears reminding us to listen carefully, his small eyes encouraging focus, his trunk symbolizing adaptability, and his large head representing wisdom and thoughtful decision-making. These meaningful lessons inspired students to develop positive values in everyday life.

A special emphasis was placed on celebrating an Eco-Friendly Ganesh Chaturthi. Students were encouraged to use clay idols instead of Plaster of Paris, avoid plastic decorations, and protect the environment by adopting sustainable practices. This initiative helped children understand the importance of preserving nature while celebrating festivals responsibly.

The event concluded with the distribution of Prasad, devotional prayers, and heartfelt wishes for happiness, prosperity, and success. Students, teachers, and staff participated with immense devotion, making the celebration both educational and spiritually enriching.
